Origin and History: The griffon club was created in 1907. This breed has 4 varieties distinguished by size and type of activity. The small Vende griffon basset is the smallest representative of the breed.

Personality: They are often an independent dog who have a strong character, they’re not always obedient. They are very sweet and lively. They remain a good companion but need authority.

Known health problem: hip dysplasia, patella luxation, eye infections, epilepsy, spinal disorders.
