General surgery HVE
Our two ultra-equipped surgery rooms allow us to operate safely (heart monitor, respiratory monitor, temperature monitor, heat pads, ECG, defibrillator, external pacemaker, etc). The anesthesia gas is exclusively of Isoflurane, one of the safest gases.
Suction, laser and the C-arm are some of our numerous advanced equipment. The sterility of our instruments is guaranteed by our three autoclaves. We offer a wide range of surgery, from sterilization to the removal of serious cancers as well as cystotomies,cesarean sections, and laparotomies to name a few.
Orthopedic surgery
We practice certain orthopedic procedures such as the correction of a dislocated patella, joint replacement, repair of the anterior cruciate ligament, and most fractures, The C-arm (mobile fluoroscopy)is a camera that produces x-rays on continuous video, this tool helps us greatly during the repair of fractures, It allows us to work with great accuracy while decreasing surgical time.
Laser surgery
The co2 laser is a great device. It reduces the bleeding by photoclotting and seals the lymphatic vessels responsible for post-surgical edema. Most importantly, the laser seals nerve endings responsible for pain nociceptors. Result: less risk of bleeding, fewer complications and ultimately much less post-operative pain. And it allows for a shorter convalescence.
Furthermore,for surgeries on exotic animals the photoclotting capacity of the laser makes a difference. A parakeet of 20 grams cannot lose more tham 0.2ml of blood,5-6 drops or it may die. The surgeries most recommended for this technique include:declawing, sterilization, entropion / ectropion, removal of the anal sac, correction of the soft palete,and many more.
Opthalmic surgery
We practice entropion and ectropion surgery, standard or by laser, enucleations, conjunctival transplantation, removal of corneal seguestration and the treatment of serious ulcers.
Cryosurgery
With this method using liquid nitrogen to freeze a target area, we can treat some skin problems, such as papillomas, often, no sedation is used in treatments with cryosurgery.
